If you want a DJ who is going to wear sequin jackets and bust out a hula hoop contest, you’ve come to the wrong place.

We’re a specialized team of high energy DJs and MCs that believes that your wedding or special event should be a party, and we believe that’s what you want too.

What we do:

• Handle everything so you don’t have to worry about anything.

• MC and host your event to perfection.

• Pack dance floors.

• Mix music in a way that’s creative, interesting, and fresh. Anybody can make a playlist and just press play all night or fade tracks in and out. We mix and respond to the dance floor and vibe in real time.

• Weddings, company parties, proms / school dances, VIP events, fashion shows, corporate events, sweet 16s, fitness events and races, and anywhere that fun is happening.

What we’re NOT:

• A giant DJ company with dozens of DJs (we do this on purpose).

• Cheesy roller rink DJs with limbo sticks and a weird affinity for The Chicken Dance.

• A “friend of the family” who used to DJ in college, still might have his stuff somewhere in storage, and will DJ for free drinks.

• Discriminatory. Gay, straight, transgender, pink, purple, or robot - we love you and we support your right to love whomever you want. we’re GLBTQ+ friendly and proud of it.

• Hudson, WI and all of Western WI

• Anywhere you want us (travel fees apply). Hawaii sounds nice.

Day One DJ was started with the goal of bringing quality high energy entertainment to a stale industry.
